Over the years, Clay continued to bring his skills to the stage, most notably while serving as head baseball coach at Plymouth State University. There, he hosted annual fundraising auctions that consistently broke records and became beloved events in the community—thanks to his charisma, quick wit, and unmistakable auctioneer’s flair.

Clay later formalized his already well-honed craft by graduating from the prestigious Missouri Auction School, one of the nation’s top auction training programs.
